How long will my child need tutoring?
This answer is going to vary based on a couple of factors.
Every student benefits from one-on-one instruction. At school, classroom instructional pace is based on a certain curriculum, not the needs of each individual student. This is also true for any group Prep Course. With one-on-one tutoring, students can get the exact help that they need at the exact right time in a manner that speaks to them. This allows growth to happen quickly.
Other factors which can affect quick progress is learning speed. Some students just need more repetition than others. In these cases it may take a bit longer, but not too much.
Another factor is consistency.
Sometimes life gets in the way of students being able to show up for their tutoring sessions. If students miss too many sessions, then it becomes harder to close the gap. The more consistent we both are, the better results your child gets.
I make a customized program for all my students depending on their needs, goals, and schedules. Typically with 90 min sessions taking place anywhere from once to twice a week, and are rarely scheduled on a arbitrary basis.
